Technological advancement, market design, and public policy reduce transport emissions while maintaining efficient mobility systems. AI optimizes routes, improves energy efficiency, and enables smarter infrastructure for electric and autonomous vehicles. Market mechanisms like carbon pricing, emissions trading systems, and green subsidies reshape incentives for organizations and consumers. Policy innovation accelerates this transition by aligning regulatory frameworks with climate goals and fostering investment in sustainable transport solutions. Together, these forces redefine cost structures, competitiveness, and long-term value creation in the global transportation sector. The Economics of Decarbonized Transport: AI Technologies, Market Mechanisms, and Policy Innovation examines how digital intelligence, economic instruments, and progressive policy frameworks transform mobility and logistics systems toward full decarbonization. It explores the integration of AI, including machine learning, optimization models, and digital twins, with transport economics, green finance, and climate policy. This book covers topics such as digital technology, pollution control, and climatology, and is a useful resource for engineers, business owners, policymakers, academicians, researchers, and scientists.

Mohamed Amine Frikha is an Assistant Professor at the Applied College, King Faisal University, in Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics (2016) with a specialization in Transport Science and Logistics, along with multiple master's degrees in logistics engineering, transport science, and financial accounting. His research focuses on sustainable logistics, cross-border supply chain management, customs operations, and the integration of artificial intelligence in transport decarbonization. Dr. Frikha has developed a strong academic portfolio that bridges quantitative modeling, trade facilitation, and environmental performance in global supply networks. He is the author of several peer-reviewed publications, including the recently accepted article in Sustainability (MDPI) titled ""Artificial Intelligence for the Decarbonization of Supply Chains: Indirect Contributions to Carbon Dioxide Removal"" (October 2025). His other works have appeared in journals such as the International Journal of Advanced Computer Science and Applications (IJACSA), Logistics (MDPI), and in the forthcoming IGI Global volume ""Innovations in Green and Energy-Efficient Warehousing"". Throughout his career, Dr. Frikha has participated in numerous international conferences (LOGISTIQUA, IEEE) and training programs organized by the World Customs Organization (WCO) and the European Union's ESCOLA EUROPEA initiative. His interdisciplinary expertise spans AI-driven logistics optimization, customs risk assessment, and sustainable transport policy design. Dr. Frikha's ongoing research seeks to advance intelligent, low-carbon, and resilient supply chain systems that promote sustainability and efficiency across international borders.
