Female leadership can be found in the Old Testament in ways often missed, and female leadership in the New Testament is often hiding in plain sight. This book is aimed at bringing out what has been hidden and denied for too long. As we unpack the specific passages that reveal the truths about women in leadership, I believe you will feel like you are watching a puzzle fall into place. When Jesus prayed that his will be done on earth as it is in heaven, the answer to this prayer will not condone women being seen or treated in any way inferior to men. The Bible, properly understood, will simply not allow it. Therefore, we as God's children can no longer allow it. To that end I wrote this book. Truth must trump our traditions.
While many books have been written on this topic, Gordon offers some new perspectives for us to ponder. He has written, not to create conflict, but to help us rethink and reapply some of our understanding of scriptures that prayerfully bring us closer to God's divine will for which we were created.

It is my belief that all who come to this work in the spirit of Psalm 139's ending prayer, will go away with a deep appreciation for the work that Gordon has done and fresh understanding that will help us, makes and females, to be the people of God, more like Jesus our Lord, going forward in these modern times. -Tom A. Jones
Gordon has pulled off the difficult task of exploring a difficult and controversial topic with grace, clarity, and simpicity. He brings some much-needed fresh perspective to a topic that has been covered by many scholars but very few have done so from the practical and pastoral angle that this book proves.
