Tamara has been fascinated by flora from childhood. For more than 40 years, the medicinal benefits of plants and herbs have been an integral part of her life. A certified herbalist and advanced aromatherapist, Tamara has a professional and academic background in education and wellness management. She began serious training in herbology whilst on a five-year sabbatical in Greece, where she managed an exclusive, wellness holiday retreat, curating medicinal gardens and an olive grove containing more than 100 varieties of wild and domestic medicinal herbs. Tamara wrote The Beauty of Botanicals to share her passion for plants and her understanding of holistic practice for the mind, body and soul, as a guide for readers to support their wellness and self-care through phytotherapy.
""The Beauty of Botanicals is a truly lovely book, one that feels as though it's been written from the heart as much as from deep knowledge. Tamara Warner's lifelong connection with plants shines through every page, making this a comforting, inspiring read as well as an informative one. The plant profiles are beautifully balanced, blending history, cultural insight and science with personal observation and gentle storytelling. The illustrations are a useful guide without overpowering the text. I especially loved how accessible the book feels; whether you're new to herbalism or already familiar with plant medicine, it invites you in without ever feeling overwhelming or prescriptive."" - Mrs LH - Goodreads
