With just a few simple stitches and a little know-how, you can create a myriad of beautiful items for the home using the traditional technique from the south of France. Boutis is a form of quilting, much like Trapunto, where the two layers of fabric are stitched together with a design which is then padded out with thick cotton thread. The effects are decorative and hardwearing and they are shown in all their glory in this book. It features twenty projects including cushions, bags, table linen, baby bootees and cot quilt amongst many others.
