Ab Waheed Wani, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Horticulture at Lovely Professional University, Punjab, India. He is an expert in areas of population genetics, genomics and metabolomics, particularly in walnuts, almonds, apples etc., and also in saffron for distinctness, uniformity, and stability guidelines. He has published articles and review papers in journals and conferences as well as book chapters. He has attended several advanced conferences and training programs in the areas of fruit science, molecular biology, and artificial intelligence. He is working on different projects related to production technology and breeding of fruit crops. Rajni Rajan, PhD, is an Assistant Professor (Fruit Science) in the Department of Horticulture at Lovely Professional University, Punjab, India. Her research focuses on fruit breeding, biotechnology, tissue culture, abiotic stress management, and mutation breeding in fruit crops. She is also exploring the area of genomics, metabolomics, genome editing, and the implication of AI in fruit crops. She published research papers, book chapters, and popular articles in journals and magazines. She also has published two patents and has one design patent. Faheem Ahmad, PhD, is a Senior Assistant Professor of Botany at Aligarh Muslim University, India. His research is focused on the study of plant-pathogen interaction, biotic and abiotic stress management, and agricultural biotechnology. He is the author of journal papers, associate editor of the Journal of Plant Diseases and Protection, and academic editor of Peer J-Life & Environment. Dr. Ahmad has guided one PhD student and several MSc students to date. He is a recipient of several fellowships and awards and is a fellow of the International Society for Development and Sustainability (Japan) and Bose Science Society (India).
