A lifetime lover of books, Elisabeth Saake has devoted most of her working life to publishing. She began her career as an editorial assistant at a New York literary agency before realizing the Big Apple was just a bit too big for her small-town heart. She’s been lucky to remain in various roles within book publishing while moving to progressively smaller towns ever since. Elisabeth is a creek lover, a podcast devotee, and has many, many, f*cked-up thoughts. She lives in Chico, CA, with her husband, two sons, and an assortment of disturbed tchotchkes and disgruntled houseplants.
""Does hearing our perfectly encapsulated doubting dialogue and feelings reflected by our counter decorations make us feel better? I talk to my desk accoutrements daily, and I like to think this book justifies cluttering our lives with meaningful baubles and sentimental stuffies. Perhaps I'm just nostalgic, but mostly, I am glad I do not own a decorative sword."" -- Joe Biel, founder and CEO of Microcosm Publishing and author of Make a Zine: Start Your Own Publishing Revolution and A People's Guide to Publishing. ""Cheeky, delightful . . . an uproarious gift book that’s sure to leave all kinds of collectors amused and chagrined."" * Foreword Reviews *
