This is a great beginners' guide to wool applique. It shows diagrams of applique methods and clear embroidery stitches to embellish your projects for the folk look. It is what it says sweet and simple. Projects include notebook cover, quilts, table runner, cushion (pillow if you are American) and a needle book. Out of the 15 projects, there are 6 pincushions, a few too many perhaps, but those ideas could be used for other projects. For example, the honey bee pincushion could be enlarged and repeated to make a wall hanging or quilt. One pear template could be used to make a quilt too. One has to use one's imagination - the inspiration is there - it's how you use it that counts.
