Japanese edition of Suzume no Tojimari (すずめの戸締まり) a novel by Makoto Shinkai based on his film of the same name. Shinkai is one of the most recognized animation filmmakers today thanks to his films Tenki no ko and Your Name, for which he has also written novels.

Suzume no Tojimari tells the story of Suzume, a young girl who lives in a quiet village in Kyushu. One day, the protagonist meets a man who is looking for a "door". When they find it in an abandoned house in the mountains, Suzume opens it, which leads to a series of catastrophes throughout Japan. As a result, the protagonist will begin a journey across the country to close the so-called "Doors of Disaster" and thus stop the chain of catastrophes that threaten to destroy Japan.
