Zbigniew Makieła is a Professor at the oldest Polish university, Jagiellonian University, and is the Head of the Organisation and Management Department. A member of the Polish Economic Society and the Polish Academy of Sciences of Kraków, he is a Polish economist specialising in innovation management and entrepreneurship. Magdalena M. Stuss is an Assistant Professor at Jagiellonian University. She is also a coordinator and supervisor within the frameworks of international programmes for students. Magdalena has written and participated in writing more than 100 scientific dissertations (scientific monographs, chapters and articles). She has participated in 37 research projects, both domestic and international, and conducted lectures, as well as scientific research in nine foreign universities. Ryszard Borowiecki is a Professor and an honoris causa doctor of several universities. He is a research worker in the Faculty of Applied Sciences of Akademia WSB in Dąbrowa Górnicza, Poland. He is the author, co-author and editor of almost 600 scientific publications concerning functioning, privatisation, restructuring and the valuation of business entities. His scientific interests also cover areas such as economic analysis and diagnosis, strategic and operational management, entrepreneurship, innovativeness and the globalisation of business units.
