Sushma Yonzon is a Nepalese nurse and public health professional who has dedicated her career to improving the health and well-being of women, particularly in hard-to-reach communities. She represents a marginalized ethnic group in Nepal and has worked in diverse roles, including trainer, nutrition officer, district coordinator, and consultant with UNICEF Nepal. Her efforts focus on strengthening health systems and delivering essential care to women in underserved regions. In 2020, Sushma Yonzon was internationally recognized as one of the 100 Outstanding Women Nurses and Midwives, an initiative led by the World Health Organization (WHO), UNFPA, the International Council of Nurses (ICN), the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM), and Women in Global Health.
