"Preteens looking to earn money get a fresh look at some age-old pursuits. Self-awareness questions gauge job affinity (Do you have a talent for crafts? Do you like pets?), and readers are prompted to think about how to match their interests to a need in the community. Step-by-step success tips are commonsensical, such as learning about the habits and exercise regimen of the pets you will be sitting. . . .The format is crisp and colorful with photos of kids on the job, as well as sidebars and readable text. This set will have long shelf life for its wide appeal, and parents will like it, too.--Vicki Reutter, State University of New York Cortland ""School Library Journal, Series Made Simple"""
