Reviews for Spanish Ab Initio for the IB Diploma

As a teacher, I know a book was a good choice when students enjoy the activities in it, and when it helps me to enrich my lessons. I love this book because it has activities that make students think, and that require them to use a different structures and a wide variety of vocabulary. The book is loaded with communicative activities, listening and reading practice with a variety of realistic texts that we can further discuss in class. But this is not everything, the book is also packed with photos, and illustrations that help me to start my lessons, and with grammar tables that help students to do independent study. During remote learning, this book has been a life saver, and I cannot be more satisfied with it. I highly recommend this book to any Spanish ab Initio teacher, and even to Spanish B teachers as well. -- Mia Kim * Hodder Education Website * I just wanted to let you know how happy I am with your book. It has helped me a lot in this digital time. The activities in the book have given students so many opportunities to get involved in these topics. I did one of the activities as a big final project and it came out great. -- Socorro Scharrer, American International School- Vienna * Socorro Scharrer, American International School- Vienna * A very well thought out and organized book, that is absolutely in line with the new curriculum. It provides us with a whole lot of resources that are in accordance with the new method of assessments. It also contains many resources to help the students practice listening, a new and relatively grey area for most teachers. Rafael draws on his immense experience as a an IB educator to bring us this extremely useful book. He conceptualizes the new curriculum in a meticulous manner with this book. Very happy to use this book. -- Krishnan Amazon Review * Krishnan Amazon Review * Being an internationally experienced teacher, I can definitely say that it's the best book that has been written for Spanish ab initio students ever. With free downloadable free audios for practicing listening comprehension skills, it's the best book written, published and available in the market. And the author is extremely helpful as a person. So you can personally connect with the author very easily too. -- Gokul Nandan, Amazon Review * Gokul Nandan, Amazon Review * Every DP student who is studying Spanish Ab Initio must have a copy of this book. I love the way the book helps students to become familiar with concepts and how it helps them see the concepts in grammar, texts, and interactions. -- Glau Serralvo,(DP Coordinator, Spanish B examiner, TOK teacher) Qingdao, China * Glau Serralvo *
