Sophia-Rose Centurioni grew up with her heart at the ballet barre. Her love for ballet and the stage began early on, but many people didn't have confidence in her. She believes every child carries a spark of magic and that one good story can help that spark shine a little brighter. Her own journey in ballet taught her grit, joy, and the quiet power of dreaming big dreams.Sophia-Rose wrote Sophia and the Magical Pointe Shoes to share hope with young readers who need a reminder that courage grows with every small step. She blends her love for dance, imagination, and kindness into every page.When she is not writing or dancing, Sophia-Rose visits schools, libraries and other organizations, talking with kids about resilience and empowerment. She finds inspiration in little moments that take place at these events. A forever weenie dog mom, she loves snuggling with Giselle after a long day of ballet. Sophia-Rose hopes her stories lift young hearts, spark big smiles, and remind children everywhere that they can rise no matter what they face. Maecy Ashmore is a choreographer, dancer, and visual artist. As a Chicagoland native she received her dance training from Interlochen Arts Academy, A&A Ballet, and Fox Valley Ballet. She obtained her BFA in Ballet in 2024, graduating summa cum laude from Texas Christian University (TCU) with minors in Studio Art and Economics. Maecy has created choreographic and visual art works for the Fox Valley Ballet Showcase, Rock the Runway fashion show, and for several TCU shows. Beyond her schooling, Maecy has choreographed several solos and small works for festivals and projects, and freelances as a visual artist, mainly creating custom murals and paintings. She is passionate about investigating the relationship between dance and other art forms, particularly in creating ceramic sets and costumes for her choreographic works. Her favorite part of creating is collaborating with other artists, often driving the finished product beyond its original scope.
