Finding the right rhyme can be excruciating, songwriters too often choosing ridiculous words in desperation. This is an invaluable resource for any budding songwriter or even an experienced lyricist with writer's block. Featuring tips on songwriting, the book focuses on the types of rhyme and assonance (end rhymes, last syllable rhymes, double rhymes, beginning rhymes, first syllable rhymes) for a range of popular styles. Arranged phonetically and drawn from a variety of musical 'dialects', from rock and pop to folk and hip-hop, this is the quick and simple guide you need. AUTHOR: Jake Jackson is creator, editor or contributor to over 30 music books, including 'Guitar Chords', 'Beginners Guide to Reading Music', 'The Songwriters' Rhyming Dictionary', 'Piano and Keyboard Chords', 'Scales and Modes', 'How to Play Guitar'. As guitarist and songwriter he has gigged in a number of bands, including Slice, The Harmonics and Starbank and studied a form of Flamenco guitar. He is now a heavy user of Sibelius and Logic Pro. He has created a core database of guitar learning materials which is constantly updated, and used to create a range of books and supporting websites for Flame Tree music. His music can be found on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, Pandora and all other streaming services. 30 illustrations
