Charles Verlice was born in the mid-west and spent the first eleven years of his life moving from place to place with his military family. He lived in North Dakota, Virginia, and England until finally moving to Florida where his family settled in a small town not too far from the Alabama border. As a teenager, Charles - or Chuck as he went by - spent countless hours hunting, hiking, running, and being at one with nature. Chuck described himself as the ultimate under achiever in high school, a trait which led him to join the USMC where he served as an infantry rifleman until his honorable discharge in 2014. After his discharge, Chuck found it hard to assimilate back into civilian life and struggled to find a place to live. He struggled with PTSD, depression, and panic disorder for years after being discharged from the USMC. Chuck eventually received his undergraduate degree in English from Florida State University in 2019 and then went on to receive his master's in business administration (MBA) in 2022. Today Chuck lives in Palm Coast Florida making his living in corporate banking and writing on the side. When asked what the proudest thing is he has ever achieved in his life is, Chuck says, ""not proud of anything, just glad it's over."".
