Smart technologies transform the understanding, protection, and sustainable use of the world's oceans. From AI-powered monitoring systems that track and detect marine life in real time to autonomous underwater drones, innovative tools give unprecedented insight into ocean health. These advancements enhance conservation efforts while supporting sustainable economic activities, such as fisheries, shipping, and tourism, by promoting responsible maintenance of marine resources. Together, these smart technologies help to secure a healthier, more sustainable future. Smart Technologies for Ocean Conservation: Innovations in the Protection and Sustainable Use of the Seas explores the role of smart technologies in the conservation and sustainable use of the oceans. It analyzes how these tools can mitigate negative impacts, improve the management of marine resources, and promote sustainability strategies by linking science with public policy and sustainable business models. This book covers topics such as renewable energy, spatial planning, and marine robotics, and is a useful resource for engineers, conservationists, academicians, researchers, and scientists.
