Jane Godwin is a highly acclaimed author of over thirty books for children, across all styles and ages. Her work is published internationally and she has received many commendations, including the Queensland Premier's Award (Children's Books), the Aurealis Award and the Animal Welfare Award, and shortlistings in the CBC Book of the Year Awards, the Prime Minister's Literary Award, the New South Wales State Literary Award (Patricia Wrightson Prize) the YABBA Awards, the Speech Pathology Awards, The Family Award for Children's Books, and the Australian Book Industry Awards. In a career spanning decades, Alison Lester has written many books and won several prestigious awards including the 2019 Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Early Childhood Book of the Year Award for Tricky's Bad Day, the 2012 CBCA Eve Pownall Book of the Year Award for One Small Island, and the 2005 CBCA Picture Book of the Year Award for Are We There Yet?. Alison was Australia's Inaugural Children's Laureate from 2011 to 2013.
