"Peace. We all long for it, but few find it. It's a quality that eludes us in the hectic pace of modern living. Shalom, a Hebrew word frequently translated as ""peace,"" was used 236 times in the Old Testament. Often used as a greeting, it expresses the desire that someone experience completeness, contentment, favor, friendship, happiness, health, peace, prosperity, quietness, rest, safety, security, tranquility, well-being, welfare and wholeness.

The ancient scriptures are filled with verses that explain what shalom looks like, how it is acquired and how to retain it. It also warns of ways we can lose this precious gift and what we need to do to get it back. Within the pages of this book are 60 short devotionals that examine the truths encapsulated within Old Testament verses that contain the word shalom. Here's your opportunity to plumb the depths of God's wisdom regarding this wonderful treasure and take hold of this asset yourself."
