Gary earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and was accepted into the Navy's prestigious nuclear power program. As a commissioned Naval Officer, he navigated warships through some of the most dangerous passages in the world. After retiring from the Navy as a Lieutenant Commander, Gary worked as a licensed Professional Engineer, performing design and analysis for nuclear power plants across the country.
