Frederick (FRED) N. Seay was born and grew up in Pascagoula, Mississippi. After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi and attending Reformed Theological Seminary, he graduated with the Master of Divinity and then the Doctor of Ministry degrees from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. After a year serving as a mission volunteer on the Mexico- U.S. border, he was ordained as a Minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) on Super Bowl Sunday, 1990. He has served churches in Arizona, Louisiana, and Texas (in the Rio Grande Valley, a small town, and a Houston suburb). Since 2011 he has been Pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Sugar Land, Texas. He and his wife, Ruth, have three grown children. He has published articles in Reformed Worship and The Journal of Presbyterian History.
