Lori Hayes lives in North Carolina with her family, horse, and two overly affectionate cats. Having ridden horses since the third grade on the hunter jumper circuit and showing dressage, she now owns her own once wild horse named Triton. His name fits him well because he was the king of the sea on a small, uninhabited island off the coast of the Outer Banks. Family, photography, writing, the beach, and horses are Lori's passions. She is an active member of WFWA, RWA, and HCRW.
An inspiring and heartwarming story! Saving Nevada is a captivating story of one woman's determination to rescue and train a wild mustang. It is a story of perseverance, unwavering faith, and of the powerful bond between a woman and the horse who captures her heart. I had no doubt I would like the book, but I wasn't prepared for how much its message of learning to trust our own process and pace as we navigate the ups and downs of life would affect me. Saving Nevada is a beautiful story that will stay with you long after you turn the last page-and one I highly recommend! -Jennifer Marshall Bleakley, author of Joey, Project Solomon, Pawverbs devotional series, and Finding Grace
