Kathy Waldrop Burnham Howington was born in Vinita, Oklahoma on Christmas Day 1956. Early on she developed a love for the creative arts, excelling at the piano. She credits her mother's imaginative story-telling for her love of the arts. As an adult, Ms. Howington was a life-long professional educator. She often said her sister Krista (who has Down Syndrome) inspired her to be a teacher/administrator for 28 years. As a Christian, Ms. Howington started writing prose as a young adult, observing human behavior and detailing how God influences our daily lives. Many of her ""stories"" apply biblical principles to ordinary, everyday experiences, illustrating moral conclusions that readers employ to help make life more joyful. Her insights are uncanny and uplifting. Ms. Howington resides in Oxford, Mississippi (home of Ole Miss) but is an ardent supporter of Mississippi State University, her alma mater. She is married to Captain Timothy Howington. She has three grown children, Joshua, Eric, and Bethany, and eight grandchildren.
