The projects are accompanied by colourful, full-size patterns to help you make the most of your repurposed clothing.

You will discover how best to change the size of any of the patterns in the book to suit your own child's measurements, and how to choose the most appropriate clothing to use rather than convert, taking into account the young wearer's safety.

Reviews for Restyle & Restitch for Little Ones: 30 Simple Projects from Preloved Clothes

Not sure what to sew for your little darling? Well, this exciting new release is the answer to your crafty dilemma. You can transform your pre-loved clothes into 30 stylish projects for babies and toddlers. Garments include a stripy romper, trousers and a frilly dress. There is even a guide on how to easily adapt the clothes to your child's measurements. * Sew Magazine, February 2023 * I'm keen to re-use and recycle, especially for clothing so this book instantly appealed to me. It has some lovely ideas and is suited to both the new and more experienced sewists - using machine or hand stitching. There is a nice mix of clothing and accessories too, particularly liked the sleepsuit from an adult's t-shirt. Also has ideas for printing onto the fabric, so it's more than just take a t-shirt and make an item kind of thing. There are also patterns you can trace-off and guides for making from 0-2yrs old sizing. Pleased with the book and will definitely be trying out some of the ideas. * Customer Review * This imaginative English-language debut by Swedish architect Larsson shows how to transform used clothes into garments for babies and toddlers. The creative projects include turning an adult button-down shirt into a frilled romper, jeans into overalls, a T-shirt into a sleepsuit, and a wool sweater into socks. The measurements are for infants who are 0-6 months old, but the author describes how to adjust the designs for babies who are 6-12 months or 1-2 years old. Other projects show how to make accessories and decor: old bed sheets can be modified into quilts, and T-shirts make a fine material for bibs. To customize these projects, Larsson encourages readers to dabble in such simple fabric printing techniques as dipping the end of a carrot in fabric ink to make dots and carving a stamp from the inside surface of a halved potato. Straightforward instructions aimed at novice sewists ensure that even readers uneasy with a sewing machine will be able to follow along, and the clever designs charm. This adorable collection is ideal for sewing enthusiasts and environmentalists alike. * Publisher's Weekly, February 2023 * In Restyle & Restitch for Little Ones, you'll find 30 sewing projects for creating stylish baby clothes, from newborns to two-year-olds, including trousers, dresses, sweaters, mittens, rompers and socks. The projects are accompanied by colourful, full-size patterns to help you make the most of your repurposed clothing. The projects are complemented by gorgeous photographs of the author's own children and their friends modelling the restyled outfits, and by Linnea's extra hints and tips for making the most of your well-worn items. * Craft Focus, December/ January issue * The 30 colourful sewing projects include full-size patterns. Discover how best to change the pattern sizes, as well as the most appropriate clothing to use for a young wearer's safety. * Machine Knitting Monthly, April 2023 *
