Dr. Jyothis Mathew (MSc., Ph.D.) is a Professor at School of Biosciences of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and as former Director, School of Biosciences, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. He has ~20 years of research experience, has published ~103 research publications, 5 book chapters and 2 popular science articles. So far nine PhDs have been completed under his guidance. He has completed three major research projects from various funding agencies. His research areas include characterization of medically important bacteria with emphasis on the study of emerging pathogens, studies on Immunomodulatory effects of common thirst quenchers used in Kerala, antimicrobial activities of some medicinal plants. Dr. Midhun Sebastian Jose has completed his doctoral degree from School of Biosciences of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala, India in 2020. During his 4 years of research, he has published 16 research publications, 2 book chapters and 4 popular science articles. His research areas include characterization of probiotic bacteria with emphasis on its application in aquaculture, studies on Immunomodulatory effects of common probiotics as well as medicinal plants, antimicrobial activities plants or plant derived compounds, microbial synthesis of nanaoparticles, microbial studies on animal models (rat and fish) and studies on endophytes. Dr. E.K. Radhakrishnan is currently working as an associate professor at the School of Biosciences, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and as a director at Business innovation and incubation Centre (BIIC.) During his 12 years of research, he has published 143 research publications, 43 book chapters, and 3 review papers. He has edited five books and has several books in progress. He has also been invited to deliver talks at various national and international conferences and seminars. His research areas include plant–microbe interactions, microbial natural products, microbial synthesis of metal nanoparticles, antimicrobial resistance gene prediction, and development of polymer-based nanocomposites with antimicrobial effects for food packaging and medical ap?plications. Dr. Ajay Kumar is a Professor at the Amity Institute of Biotechnology in India. He has published extensively in leading International and National journals or books. He has wide area of research experience, especially in the field of Plant-Microbe Interactions, Microbial biocontrol, and Endophytes related with the medicinal plants, Postharvest management of fruits. Dr. Kumar has published more than 165 research articles including review papers/book chapters/ books in the leading international journals. He is serving as special issue editors in some journals like “Frontiers in Microbiology, Microorganism” etc. In addition also acting as reviewer in some leading journals like Frontiers group, PLOS ONE, Agriculture, Ecosystem and Environment, International Journal of Molecular Sciences, Biological Control, Plant Biochemistry and Biotechnology, 3Biotech etc. Dr, Kumar has edited several books with leading publishers including Elsevier, Springer, and Taylor and Francis.
