Dr. Winfried Sedhoff was born in Germany and immigrated with his parents and older sister to the southern New South Wales country cityof Albury, Australia when he was eighteen months of age. He fondly spent many of his early years visiting local farms and helping muster sheep or cattle. The family moved onto a farm thirty minutes drive out of town two years before he completed high school. He graduatedin medicine (M.B.B.S.) from New South Wales University in 1987.Barely two years after graduating and with a promising specialist career before him, he suffered a life-threatening personal crisis and resigned from the training course. Soon, he found himself living in self-imposed isolation and began a quest within himself to find a senseof truth, a genuine sense of self that could relieve him of the depression that had dogged him since his early high school years. Withinthree months, he found what he was searching for. It was like nothing he expected.Winfried has been a general practitioner for over thirty years. The last twenty-plus years have been spent specialising in mental healthand applying some of what he learned during his internal quest. He now lives in Brisbane, Australia.
