ABBEY'S BOOKSELLER PICK ----- When Dora is born her four brothers are very excited, and full of plans for what they can do for her. As she grows a little bit bigger and a little older, her doting brothers entertain her in different ways: Alex is the sensitive one, Liam the active one, Bruno the funny one, but Peter – he reads to her.

A truly lovely book from the treasured Margaret Wild, with expressive and gentle illustrations from Hannah Sommerville that convey the siblings' relationships, and the wonder and joy of imagination that books bring a child. (It's also worth noting the care that has gone into this book extends to the endpapers!) A beautiful book to share with ages 3+. Lindy

From award-winners Margaret Wild and Hannah Sommerville comes a story to remind us of the wonder and magic of reading.
When Dora was born, her brothers were very excited. 'I'm going to cuddle her,' said Alex. 'I'm going to rock her to sleep,' said Liam. 'I'm going to make her laugh,' said Bruno. 'I'm going to read to her,' said Peter.

Dora has doting big brothers who play with her, look after her, and guide her as she grows. But Peter reads to her, which turns out to be the greatest gift of all.
