This volume represents the proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Knowledge Innovation and Invention 2024 (ICKII 2024). This conference is organized by IEEE Tainan Section Sensors Council, National Formosa University of Taiwan, and International Institute of Knowledge Innovation and Invention (IIKII), and held on August 16-18, 2024, in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan. The conference provided a unified communication platform for researchers in a range of topics, such as information technology, communication science & engineering, computer science, electrical & electronic engineering, automation engineering, big data computation, machine learning, and other engineering related fields. This proceedings volume enables interdisciplinary collaboration of science and engineering technologists in the academic and industrial fields, as well as networking internationally.

Dr. Teen-Hang Meen was born in Tainan, Taiwan on Aug. 1, 1967. He received his BS degree from Department of Electrical Engineering, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan in 1989, MS and PhD degree from Institute of Electrical Engineering, National Sun Yat-Sen University (NSYSU), Kaohsiung, Taiwan in 1991 and 1994, respectively. He was the chairman of the Department of Electronic Engineering from 2005 to 2011 in National Formosa University, Yunlin, Taiwan. He got the excellent research award of National Formosa University in 2008 and 2014. Currently, he is a lifetime distinguished professor with the Department of Electronic Engineering, National Formosa University, Yunlin, Taiwan. In addition, he is the president of International Institute of Knowledge Innovation and Invention (IIKII), and is the chair of IEEE Tainan Section Sensors Council. He has published more than 160 SCI and SSCI papers in recent years. Dr. Cheng-Fu Yang is a Professor of Chemical and Materials Engineering at National University of Kaohsiung. He obtained “The Outstanding Contribution Awards of the Chinese Ceramic Society” in 2009. In 2010 Jan., he was the first one (and the only one) to obtain the distinguished professor of NUK. In 2014 Aug., he was the fellow of “The Institution of Engineering and Technology” (IET) on May, 2015. He was the “The Mingjiang Scholar and Chair Inviting Professor” of Jimei University, Xiamen, Fujian, China, and he is the “Honorary Chair Professor” of Chaoyang University of Technology in August 2020. He was the Editorial board or guest editor in more than 15 international journals, for example coatings, materials, applied sciences, and etc; and he is the Chief Editor of journal “Applied Functional Materials”. Dr. Chun-Yen Chang is a science education scholar in Taiwan. Currently, he serves as National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) Chair Professor, Director of the Science Education Center (NTNU), and Professor of the Graduate Institute of Science Education and the Department of Earth Sciences (NTNU). From July 2022, he also serves as the Adjunct Professor of the Department of Biology, State University of Malang, Indonesia. Over the past few years, he has been a Visiting Professor at the Taipei Medical University, The Education University of Hong Kong, and the Paris 8 University. Dr. Chang’s major research interests include science education, e-Learning, interdisciplinary science learning, and science communication.
