Danielle McManus is a parent, special education teacher, and small business owner from Richmond, Virginia. Danielle holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University, a master’s degree in early childhood unified education from the University of Kansas, and a master’s certificate in educational leadership from the University of Kansas. Danielle has spent her life devoted to helping children and adults with disabilities. She is a mother of two children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and has worked as an early childhood special education teacher in Henrico, VA, for more than fifteen years. Mara La Fratta Brennan, a lifelong doodler and national board certified elementary school teacher, was never without a sketchbook growing up. She cultivates her illustrations while engaging her students in instruction, adding visuals and color to academics. This is her first published work as an illustrator, but she looks forward to the new adventure. Mara holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Longwood University and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction and children's literature from Pennsylvania State University. She resides in Virginia with her husband, three children, and many pets. Brandon Watkins is from Richmond, Virginia. He is a self-taught illustrator who has been drawing since he was a young boy. He enjoys using mediums in colored pencil, watercolor, and computer graphics. When not illustrating, Brandon can be found spending time with his kids and enjoying being outside.
