Kenneth Sanders, MD, qualified at Leeds Medical School in 1951, and after National Service entered an NHS general practice in London. He is a fellow of the British Institute of Psychoanalysis and, some time after qualifying there in 1968, gradually transferred to psychoanalytic practice. He has been training analyst for the Tavistock Clinic Child Psychotherapy course and has taught and supervised in the UK and Italy: his experience of teaching in the latter is recorded in 'Post-Kleinian Psychoanalysis: The Biella Seminars' (2001, Karnac).
'The chapters in this book not only contain fascinating clinical accounts but in Dr. Sander's exposition cover the wide range of ideas of extended metapsychology as they pertain to children, adolescents, and adults...Clear, precise and rising to poetic heights at times, it makes rich reading.'- Donald Meltzer, from his Foreword
