Charles J. Krebs is professor emeritus of zoology at the University of British Columbia and thinker in residence at the University of Canberra.
This volume thoroughly reviews hypotheses proposed to explain rodent population cycles, critically evaluates empirical evidence for or against each hypothesis, and proposes critical studies that could potentially resolve this ecological enigma.
