"This book is a direct reflection of what Christ did for me five years ago. I'm ashamed to say for many years I claimed to be a Christian while my actions said just the opposite. I was even called out once. I was asked if I was a Christian and I responded yes. Someone that knew me was standing there. He laughed and said ""sure you are"". My heart attack six years ago had me thinking more about God but I was still holding on to the worldly things that we are told to refrain from. One day I'm watching television and I come across a pastor that grabbed my attention. In hind sight God got my attention that day. This sermon had a huge impact on me. I didn't really have a relationship with Christ. I hadn't truly surrendered my life to him. Since that day I've been a different person. That's when I finally found my love for Jesus. Out of nowhere I start writing these poems. It was as if God was using my hand to write down words he was putting in my heart. After much encouragement, I had my poems published. It is my desire to glorify my Lord through this work. I hope you enjoy these poems, more so I hope they inspire you in your walk with Jesus."

Ronnie Jones, the author, spent a big portion of his life in the church. All the while never truly surrendering his heart to God. He walked the days of his life with typical ups and downs. In the summer of 2017 this would all change. A heart attack that should have caused certain death, instead brought him true life for the first time. This is the event that facilitated Ronnie fully surrendering his life to Christ. It was only after that he found his passion and love for writing. Ronnie has two children, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. When he's not spending time in church or with family he enjoys writing and watching the sport he loved playing when he was young, baseball. He credits Allen Jackson pastor of World Outreach Church for his growth in Christ.
