Fiona A. Reid is a Departmental Associate in Mammalogy at the Royal Ontario Museum. She has written and illustrated numerous books on mammals, including the Peterson Guide to Mammals of North America and A Field Guide to the Mammals of Central America and Southeast Mexico. Gianfranco Gómez Zamora is a naturalist and tour guide with 20 years of experience in the field. A contributor to the discovery of new species and new species records for Costa Rican fauna, he is currently based in Drake Bay, where he leads night tours.
