Dr. Michele Kiely is the Associate Dean for Research at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health & Health Policy. She is an established researcher in the field of health disparities, with a special interest in reduction of infant mortality and of intimate partner violence. Her experience reflects a comprehensive range of pediatric and obstetric health issues—including disabilities in children, health care access and utilization in mothers and children; and investigations of a randomized controlled trial to improve risk factors, thus improving pregnancy outcomes among high-risk minority women. Dr. Kiely has a broad background including working at the National Institutes of Health (Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development), the Office of the United States Surgeon General, the Maternal and Child Health Bureau/Health Resources and Services Administration, as well as Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and the State of New York. Dr. Meredith Manze is an Associate Professor at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health & Health Policy in the Department of Community Health and Social Sciences. She has two decades of experience working in public health field. Along with a BA in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins University, she received an MPH in Maternal & Child Health and PhD in Health Services Research, both from the Boston University School of Public Health. Her research focuses on sexual and reproductive health and health care, as well as supporting public university college students, especially pregnant and parenting students. Chris Palmedo is associate professor of media marketing and communications at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy. His research seeks to understand how to develop the most effective communications techniques to help people live healthier lives. Before joining CUNY, he directed health communications programs for companies and nonprofits. Along with a BA degree from Williams College, Dr. Palmedo earned an MBA in Marketing and a PhD in Public Policy, both from Portland State University.
