I enjoyed reading Parmesan Pig: Small, Big, and Beyond by Ben Barrowman. I know my children would have wanted to have the book read to them over and over when they were that age. The author wants to go beyond entertaining his readers to inspire a love for science and our world. As the pig and her friends, including her best friend Chocolate Chipmunk, learn about the physical world, they discover information that helps them increase their self-confidence to become comfortable with who they are. The illustrations by Alexis Eastburn are eye-catching and creative, and perfectly fit the book's text.
