Dr. Loren Cordain is the founder of The Paleo Diet, a New York Times bestselling author, and an Emeritus Professor in the Department of Health and Exercise Science at Colorado State University. Over his celebrated 33-year career, Dr. Cordain has contributed to more than 68 peer-reviewed publications in medical, nutritional, and scientific literature, focusing on the many forms of the ancestral human diet and exploring which modern foods are healthy and unhealthy (all available free on ResearchGate.com). Dr. Cordain is author or co-author of seven books, including The Paleo Diet, The Paleo Diet for Athletes, Real Paleo Fast & Easy, and The Real Paleo Diet Cookbook, as well as dozens of incisive articles on ThePaleoDiet.com. Trevor Connor, MS, is the CEO of The Paleo Diet, LLC, which owns and operates the trademarked The Paleo Diet program, The Paleo Diet website (www.thepaleodiet.com), two industry-leading food certification standards, and a branding and co-branded licensing program. Connor was Dr. Cordain’s final graduate student; his research focused on exercise bioenergetics and the impacts of diet on the immune system and autoimmune conditions. A graduate of Cornell University and a former professional cyclist and Canadian National Centre coach, Connor is the co-founder and CEO of Fast Talk Laboratories. He lives in Colorado. Dr. Mark J. Smith was Dr. Cordain’s first graduate student to study Paleolithic nutrition; he has worked with Dr. Cordain in the field since 1990. Dr. Smith holds a master’s degree in exercise and sport science and a PhD in physiology from Colorado State University. For over 30 years, Dr. Smith has helped people solve or ease health conditions using the Paleo Diet, making him one of the most experienced Paleolithic nutrition educators in the world. He is a leading expert on supramaximal interval training and maintains an office in California.
