Helen Foster trained in adult medicine and subsequently in paediatric rheumatology. Her academic focus is to improve access to care for children with rheumatic disease. Key achievements include development of pGALS, pREMS, and free e-resources (http://www.pmmonline.org). She has published over 100 peer reviewed articles along with book chapters and is co-editor Oxford Textbook of Rheumatology, Fourth edition. Through key national and international leadership roles, she has contributed to paediatric rheumatology training, Recommendations for Transition, Standards of Care for Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, NHS Specialist Commissioning, NICE guidance and the UK Clinical Research Network. Paul Brogan trained in paediatric nephrology before moving into paediatric rheumatology. His academic interests focus on systemic inflammatory diseases of the young, including genetics, biomarker discovery, and clinical trials. He has published over 100 peer reviewed papers, several international book chapters, and three previous Oxford University Press titles (two in paediatric nephrology; and the first edition of the Oxford Specialist Handbook of Paediatric Rheumatology). His programme of translational research has delivered next generation sequencing genetic testing into routine clinical practice for patients with suspected monogenic inflammation in the UK and beyond. He leads national clinical services for autoinflammation and vasculitis of the young; and is the chief investigator for several international clinical trials.

Reviews for Paediatric Rheumatology

This handbook is comprehensive yet concise and would serve as a handy and quick reference point in the clinic. It would be useful not only for pediatric rheumatologists but also for trainee pediatricians, nurses, and multidisciplinary therapists. The authors need to be congratulated for their efforts. * Indian Journal of Rheumatology * the book maintains a practical Monday morning approach to the problems without delving into the basic science that can often be daunting ... have no hesitation in recommending as an outpatient clinic or ward companion, * Raju Khubchandani, The Indian Journal of Pediatrics *
