It also shows use of the endoscope as an adjunct to surgery, either via the ear canal or through the bulla. Edited by Dr Kureshi, a veterinarian with over two decades of experience in ear endoscopy, and Prof Bhutta, a world renown expert in human ear surgery, makes this a first of its kind, an indispensable reference for basic and advanced practitioners in the field. There is no previous book on ear endoscopy in veterinary medicine, but this is definitely an emerging and establishing field. The two lead editors ran the first endoscopic ear surgery course for small animals in the USA in 2021, which was well attended and had excellent feedback. Editors were asked to run the same course in the US in 2022, and are considering running the course in the UK and Brazil in the near future. They believe endoscope is the gold standard for diagnosis of ear disease, and those utilising such tools in their practice is set to grow.
