Is it possible to be happy even when things aren't going your way?

Yes! ♥ That's what gratitude can do! ♥

Grunt the Grizzly was a grumpy bear. But his grumpiness was making him miserable.

Luckily, he has amazing friends, Punk the Skunk, Sloan the Sloth, and Brave the Beaver, who teach him that he can be in charge of his own happiness. Maybe their mantra can help him see past the negative and focus on the positive.

""Grumpies, grumpies, go away.

I would rather smile today.

When I'm grateful, I can see

All the good surrounding me.""

Will Grunt learn that it's possible to be happy even when things are going wrong?

Find out in this adorable tale of friendship, compassion, and focusing on what is truly important. For ages 3-8, preschool through 2nd grade.

Gratitude exercises for use at home or in the classroom are included in the back of the book.

Reviews for ¿Óscar el Oso aprenderá a ser agradecido?: Can Grunt the Grizzly Learn to Be Grateful? (Spanish Edition)

"Reviewed By Barbara Fanson for Readers' Favorite: 5 stars Adorable, cute animals grace the pages of Grunt the Grizzly Learns to Be Grateful (Óscar el Oso Pardo aprende a ser agradecido in Spanish), which will attract young readers, while the story will keep them entertained. Appealing and friendly classmates with their happy expressions and bright eyes will have children wanting to read this book again and again. Author Misty Black has written another children's adventure book bound to be a classic. Parents, teachers, and children will love the adventure sprinkled with a subtle message of gratefulness and light reminders that we can control how we feel. I love how the catchy song reappears throughout the book as the friends recite ""Grumpies, grumpies, go away!"" Grunt the Grizzly Learns to Be Grateful is the newest colorful, children's picture book by author Misty Black. She knows how to weave a smidgen of niceness between the lines of this delightful story. This is the fifth book in the Punk and Friends series featuring charming and cuddly friends who learn to navigate through life's social issues and get along with others. Illustrator Ana Rankovic provides delightful, cute characters in full-color artwork. I like the variety of layouts in the book with some full-page illustrations, while other pages feature two smaller illustrations with feathered edges. Parents and adults will like the discussion at the back of the book. Maybe Grunt the Grizzly's Gratitude Journal is the prescription we all need during this pandemic and to learn how to control our emotions during any trying time. By the end of the story, I think all children and adults-and me, too-will be reciting ""Grumpies, grumpies, go away!"""
