Antonio Doménech-Carbó (Valencia, Spain, 1953) is Professor at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, University of Valencia (PhD 1989). His research is focused in solid state electrochemistry, including vegetal electrochemistry. He is author of more than 270 articles including one IUPAC’s technical report, and several books. Among them, Electrochemical Methods in Archeometry, Conservation and Restoration (Springer, 2009), Electrochemistry of immobilized particles and droplets (2nd ed. Springer, 2014), Electrochemistry of Porous Materials (Taylor & Francis, 1st edition 2010; Chinese edition 2018; 2nd edition, 2021) and Electrochemistry for Cultural Heritage (Springer, 2023). Currently, is member of the editorial board of ChemTexts (Springer) and topical editor of Journal of Solid State Electrochemistry (Springer). He is reviewer of the European Research Council and national research agencies of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Croatia, Czech Republic, Flanders, France, Kazakhstan, Poland, Romania, Spain, Swiss, and The Netherlands, and referee of more than 180 indexed journals. José Heráclito Zagal (Talca, Chile 1949) is a Distinguished Professor, Faculty of Chemistry and Biology of the University of Santiago de Chile. He got his first degree in Chemistry from the University of Chile in 1973 and his Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University, (USA) in 1978. He was a postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Energy, Brookhaven National Laboratory, New York in 1982. In 1992 he received the Presidential Chair in Science Award from the President of Chile. In 2014 he became Fellow of The International Society of Electrochemistry and Fellow of The Electrochemical Society. In 2018 he became a Fellow of The Royal Society of Chemistry and Emeritus Member of The Electrochemical Society. He received the “Dr.Arevalo”Award from the Latin American Society of Electrochemistry in 2021. He is an active Member of the Academy of Sciences of Latin America (ACAL) of the Chilean Academy of Sciences and of the Academy of Sciences of New York. He belongs to several Editorial Boards. He has published over 280 papers and 4 books with more than 12164 citations and an h-index of 61 in Google Scholar, July 2023. His research interests are focused in establishing structure-reactivity relationships of metal complexes as molecular catalysts for electrochemical reactions. He has developed several reactivity descriptors for these non-noble metal catalysts.
