Prof. Dr. Ahmad Fadzil M Hani is an expert in the area of image processing and computer vision. He is the Director of the Center for Intelligent Signal & Imaging Systems Research (a National Higher Instution of Center of Excellence under the Ministry of Education Malaysia.His research ranges from fundamental pattern recognition to developing signal and image processing solutions for vision and biomedical applciations. His current reserch focuses on the development of new analysis techniques for early osteoarthritis, neurotransmitters in drug additiona using MRI techniques and bio-optics for skin pigmentation analysis. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Malaysia, a Senior Member of IEEE, and a Fellow of the Academy of Sciences, Malaysia. He is also a Non-Executive Director fo ViTrox Corporation, a public-listed company that develops and manufacturers automated vision inspection systems. He has authored 2 books and published over 200 peer reviewed research articles in journals and conference proceedings. He holds a number of patens, and won several award for various work.
