""A perfect read for fans ... These interviews and Reid's accessible and absorbing storytelling capture the moment a Canadian dream comes true."" -- Open Book ""The stories are entertaining, varied and reflect the personality of the man telling the story."" -- The Guy Who Reviews Sports Books blog ""Now I have five Ken Reid books and never tire of his stories, never tire of the players he writes about."" -- Pictou Advocate ""Reid tells the stories simply. He also comes across as sympathetic to all of his subjects. He knows that every kid that has ever laced on skates for a game of hockey wants to score in the NHL some day, and reaching that goal is worth celebrating. That makes One to Remember pleasant reading for anyone who picks it up."" -- Buffalo Sports Page ""These are backgrounders of 39 others who managed one goal; those who got in The Show by sheer luck, junior stars who'd planned to stay a lot longer, careers cut short by injury and even goalies who managed to light the lamp."" -- The Chronicle Herald ""This honest and entertaining book reveals just how hard it is to get even a glimpse of the highest levels of professional sports, much less find any lasting success ... Hockey fans and those who enjoy strong sports writing will appreciate."" -- Library Journal
