Nyansa's Year One Elementary Latin curriculum is designed to provide an introduction to basic Latin vocabulary to students and to show the connection between the Latin vocabulary and common English words. This Teacher's Guide walks you through each lesson, which includes Latin vocabulary, fables, discussion, and games. The curriculum can be used over a four-day period; however, the curriculum can be used to fit the schedule of your individual program.

The curriculum works best when students can review the vocabulary words each week. Reviewing the material through flashcards and games will help your students improve their memory of the vocabulary. The English language uses many Latin roots and parts of words. Gaining an understanding of these roots and word parts will expand your students' vocabulary in English. It will enhance their language skills, reading skills, and communication abilities.
