Photographer Alwin Maigler (b. 1996) has been working closely with the internationally renowned Stuttgart Ballet for many years, and the double publication Nuances and Nocturne (ISBN 9783735609939) is his personal declaration of love for classical dance.

Nuances is Maigler's first photographic work on the subject of ballet; it is a sensitive study of the body and movement, focusing on the exploration of those fleeting spaces that are hidden in such movement. The contrast between the fluidity of dance and photographic fixation reveals ballet's aesthetic depth of field with a precision that all too often remains hidden.

AUTHOR: Alwin Maigler is a freelance photographer based in Germany. With a strong emphasis on art, fashion and portrait photography, automotive imagery and culturally inspired projects, he has garnered recognition from renowned clients such as Porsche, Leica, Mercedes Benz, The Stuttgart Ballet, The State Gallery and the Stuttgart State Opera. His body of work has been published in magazines including Harper's Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, l'Officiel, and Schön! Magazine. Maigler presents his personal creative endeavours through both solo and group exhibitions and collective showcases. He's partner with the Leica Camera AG. As a professional member of the BFF (Professional Association of Freelance Photographers), Maigler actively contributes to the photography community serving on the regional board for Baden-Württemberg. Additionally, he proudly supports the Female Photoclub initiative.
