Rev. Dr. J. C. Wade, Jr. is a native of Memphis, Tennessee. In 1957, he was licensed as a minister and was ordained in 1961. He pastored Samaria Baptist Church and Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. In 1965, he relocated to East Chicago, Indiana, and pastored Zion Missionary Baptist Church for 15 years until his retirement in 2010. Dr. Wade obtained a Bachelor of Theology from Indiana Christian Bible College; a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Bishop College; a Master of Religious Education; and a Doctorate of Bible Theology from the International Bible Institute and Seminary. Rev. Dr. J. C. Wade, Jr. served as CEO of the Zion Community Development Corporation Drug Prevention and Awareness Program and Zion Academic Academy. Dr. Wade is a world-renowned speaker, educator, preacher, and most of all, child of God.
