Will Jamison Wright is a Research Associate at the Institute for the International Law of Peace and Armed Conflict (IFHV) at the Ruhr-University Bochum. In this role, he works as the administrative and communications manager of the Network on Humanitarian Action (NOHA) and as co-editor of the Humanitarian Blog published by the IFHV and Centre for Humanitarian Action in Berlin. He previously served as the coordinator and joint examination officer of NOHA Joint Masters Programme in International Humanitarian Action at the Ruhr-University Bochum. In December 2022, Will defended his doctoral dissertation on ""Norm Clusters of Non-State Armed Groups: Mapping and Understanding the Limits of Warfare as Understood by Non-State Armed Groups"" as part of the PhD programme in International Development Studies at the Institute for Development Research and Development Policy (IEE) at the Ruhr-University Bochum. Prior to this, will graduated from the Ruhr-University Bochum and University College Dublin as part of the the NOHA Masters Programme in International Humanitarian Action. He also hold a Bachelors Degree in International Affairs from the George Washington University. Will has worked on policy research and development, project management, communications, and capacity building with organizations in the United States, Germany, and Belgium. In addition to this work, Will has written blog posts for the Völkerrechtsblog and the Humanitarian Blog and co-edited the end of project report for the European Humanitarian Roundtables. His research has focused on the intersections of international humanitarian law, international relations, and humanitarian action.
