* Elderly while in a nursing homes should have color to room, bedspreads with design to match their curtains.
* Elderly should be able to celebrate main holidays on the same day, just like they would in their own home before entering nursing home.
* Elderly should be able to stay in bed when they prefer, not up to nursing to say when.
* More nurses should help out when needed.
* My book should be bought, it gives some information to help others. It is a story of what happen to this one certified nurses aide and how elderly should not be treated. More awareness needs to be open to others. More staffing should be looked at. One person should not have to care for eight elderly in a eight hour shift, knowing we need our breaks. We also obtain burn-outs due to over worked.

My book age range are for those who are over 30, 40, 50. I pick this group so when it comes to their love ones, they are able to pick a home that would make the elderly more at home and comfortable. They would over see that their loved one is taking care of by visiting more often even if they have Alzheimer's Disease. They make sure that their love one is being taking care of and they are only a phone call away.

I Dorothy Magliulo born and raised in Jersey City. I live with my husband Andre. A mother of five children. I have been on disability for three years, prior to my disability I was a Certified Nurses' Aide through the state of New Jersey, Activity Aide and than a Director of Activity. I went to school for two of my titles. One year of college at Hudson Community College in Jersey, took courses in person and online of Mepap 1&2 (stands for Modular Education Programs for Activity Professional). Taking theses courses helped me received my certification for Activity. Since I worked in the field of activity I love doing crafts, polishing nails, decorating, and most of all spending time with the elderly. This is my first book. I just want people to know what should we do for the elderly to improve the places of a nursing home. I want others to know, it should never matter where we come from on how one should be treated. The only award I received was the love and understanding of so many elderly. Until today I still kept in touch with the residents that were put into another nursing home by phone and cards send,
