Sogang University Korean Language Institute teachers have designed this course to help you learn and master language and culture efficiently based on the know-how they have accumulated in the classroom over the years. In line with the changing times, we have reflected the latest trends and accepted the advice of many people who love Sogang to enhance the convenience of both teachers and learners.

Considering that the regular course for the first level consists of 200 hours, it is organised into 100 hours of speaking, 25 hours of reading and speaking, 25 hours of listening and speaking, and 50 hours of writing. In addition to revising the existing Student’s Book 1A-1B and Workbook 1A-1B, we have published the new Student’s Book 1A-1B and Writing Book 1A-1B.

The Sogang Korean Student’s Book 1A-1B (3rd Edition) series is organised as follows.

– Sogang Korean Student’s Book 1A-1B: This is a speaking, reading, and listening textbook.

– Workbook 1A-1B: This is a supplement to the Student’s Book and is used for homework and review.

– Seogang Korean Writing Book 1A-1B: This is a writing textbook. There are speaking activities before writing.

– Sogang Korean Hangeul: This is a Korean textbook.

– Sogang Korean Grammar and Vocabulary Reference Book 1A-1B: Contains grammar explanations, translations of new words and expressions, and an index (English, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and 4 other versions).
