Saibal Basu carried out research in the field of neutron scattering and neutron instrumentation at Dhruva reactor in India for more than three decades. He has carried out extensive neutron reflectometry research at several major neutron scattering centres. These include Dhruva reactor in India, ISIS spallation neutron source, Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in UK and NIST Centre for Neutron Research (NCNR) at NIST, USA. His work mainly targets interface properties like magnetism and interface alloy formation in thin film heterostructures. Surendra Singh is a scientist at the Solid State Physics Division, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai. His current research interests are in the field of structure and magnetic properties of complex oxide interfaces and superlattices. He has authored/co-authored over 100 research publications in high-impact international journals.
