Praise for Previous Editions ""I read this book with enthusiasm and excitement. Luke brings the often-impenetrable findings of neuroscience into the practice world of counselors and therapists. His writing is clear, and he uses excellent examples to explicate complex constructs. I have taught a graduate course in this topic area for many years. I have never found a book that adequately bridges the gap between neuroscience and counseling. Instead, I have been left to my own devices to draw directly from the literature for content. Finding this book is a great discovery for me. I plan to adopt it for my graduate class. I think it should be mandatory reading for all graduate students in the helping professions."" Judy Glaser, Augusta University College of Nursing ""Luke does an exceptional job in balancing the teaching of a modern neuroscience foundational knowledge base within the context of counseling psychology. This textbook serves to offer students a well-designed balance of these teachings while reducing learning gaps that often occur when integrating these topics."" Lorenz S. Neuwirth, SUNY Old Westbury
