Kent Kauffman is an associate professor of business law in the Doermer School of Business at Purdue University Fort Wayne, where he primarily teaches business law and ethics at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He also serves as the faculty liaison for the master of business administration programs in the Doermer School of Business. He has a BA from Temple University and a JD from The Penn State University-Dickinson School of Law, and holds an Indiana law license. In addition to having published articles in peer-reviewed journals, Kauffman is the author of Legal Ethics (through the third edition); is a coauthor of Legal Terminology; and is a contributing author for two other business law texts. He also is the author of the Movie Guide for Legal Studies, a pedagogical book for legal professors who want to utilize film scenes in their teaching or assignments. He is the recipient of multiple publication awards, including a Midwest Academy of Legal Studies in Business ""Distinguished Paper Award"" and a Textbook and Academic Authors Association ""McGuffey Longevity Award"" for Legal Terminology. Kauffman is a Purdue member of Indiana University's selective, scholarly teaching community, the Faculty Academy on Excellence in Teaching (FACET). He is a proponent of and an active contributor to his campus's Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT), has served CELT as an advisory board member and a teaching fellow, and has conducted multiple workshops for faculty. He has won multiple awards for his teaching, including his online teaching, at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
